Securing cables to concrete floor

Hello

This is my first post here after deciding to install my setup myself rather than paying a store for the service but naturally as most 1st posts are... I need some advice!

Well I have removed the partition between my lounge and dining room so have a lot of room to play with. I intend to use the lounge area for the main a/v equipment with som speakers placed in the rear dining room area just for "fill".

So here's my problem / question.... I need to run cables for the rear speakers (speakers to act as rear surround) along with the far end of the dining room (speakers only switched on as "fill" when guests are at the dining table). There are currently no carpets in this room, it is a bare concrete floor. So I was just wondering what the best way to secure the cables to the floor is? Would it be some kind of clips?? Some sort of adhesive / silicone??? And just for clarity, the cables need to be hidden, clipping to the skirting board or sinking into the walls is not an option.

Thank you for your time.

Re: Securing cables to concrete floor

once the carpet gripper is down run the speaker cable along the inside edge and underlay up to the cable, that should work ok for ya.

just find some cable clips that fit the speaker cable you are going to use or tape across from the underlay to the gripper in a few places to hold the cable in place until the carpet is fitted.

really simple to do just make sure there is an entry point and exit point in the gripper for the cable, the carpet fitter should do the rest
