Pioneer PDP-LX5090H - Sky+ HD, Xbox, PS3, HDX1000...

Hi all,

I am looking to undertake a little project in my living room. I have recently acquired a Pioneer PDP-LX5090H. Its currently sittings on its stand atop a coffee table. It only has a HDX1000 media box connected at present.

My end result is that I want it neatly wall mounted and I want my Xbox, PS3, HDX1000 media box and soon to be fitted Sky+ HD in a nearby cupboard and out of the way.

Cupboard contains shelving that I installed when I first moved in. Also has master telephone socket i.e. for the Sky+ HD. However it currently has no power sockets although the cupboard is conveniently location for the properties circuit breaker, main wiring etc is so thats handy as I will be able to spur sockets from that.

I am currently try to source either a Pioneer PDK-WT02 (Angled wall bracket) or a Pioneer PDK-WM02 (non-angled wall bracket). I am not sure what would be better and my decision will largely be dictated by price since a little research indicates the angled one is £318 and the non-angled around £120. However these seem to be in short supply (as are the plasmas themselves). Is there alternatives available that will correctly fit the Pioneer PDP-LX5090H or do I have to go with the proprietary one?

I like to start with the end result therefore I want to control all four devices in the cupboard using their respective remotes via one infra-red (IR) eye mounted either flush with the wall in the living room or neatly attached / clipped onto the TV itself. This will receive the signal and at the other end will be a series of emitters controlling the four devices.

See Hidden Infrared System IR Repeater IR Emitters Extender on eBay (end time 20-Nov-09 19:22:10 GMT)

However are there better versions of the aforementioned?

I would also be looking for an HDMI wall plate for the living room and in the cupboard.

Any comments or advice, feel free. This is a big undertaking for me but I wanna do it right.

Thanks.

Keene Electronics do various IR control systems, they should have something to suit, I'm hoping to use one of their systems to control all my kit located in a garage in an data rack.
