share av signal to 3 rooms

Hi guys. heres my problem/question.

Im building a new house and i have been looking at putting my Wii in the middle of the house and have the cables run to 3 rooms from there. the controls use bluetooth which seems to work at a fair distance, also the "sensor bars" only send info, not recieve, so i can buy the wireless ones and not have a problem with that.
the problem is i dont know how to split the signal. thinking im smarter than i actually am, i went and bought a roll of RG6 cable, 4 AV wall plates and 3 4-way antenna spliters. i thought the splitters would work fine, but when i tried them, they only work on the power pass output and it is a terrible picture.

Anyone got any ideas on how to split the signals?

Thanks heaps
Matt

Which output are you using to output from the wii?

Composite or component?

The standard connection from the wii is composite (REd, White & Yellow Phono). You can pick up a switch, which will switch the singnal and allow you to use it on as many machines at the switch allows. The one of the link allows 4. You'd then need to run composite Phono cables to the rooms where the TV's are. This way would allow you to use the wii on one tv at a time, but not on all four.

Re: share av signal to 3 rooms

Are you still at a stage where you can install different cables? And will you be using an amp have a HDMI output? It might be possible to run the wii through the amp to convert the component signal (if you get the wii component cable) to HDMI and then run the HDMI over cat 5/6 with the appropriate baluns. Just some suggestions and could all be pie in the sky if your setup isn't like this.
