New electrical sockets or powercable extension!?

Hi

Wallmounting TV and Av furniture etc and was going to get a sparky to install 3-4 double electrical wall sockets.

However I am now thinking a six plug extension cable may be the way to go.

Are there any pros and cons to using an extension in terms of performance?

Many thanks in advance

Re: New electrical sockets or powercable extension!?

This would be something to talk to the sparky about. But from my point of view, running the amp, TV, DVD, Sky, etc, etc from one socket would be a recipe for DISASTER! Seperate plug sockets I think would be the more reliable way to go.

If your going to do it yourself then by law you can only use an extention due to current regs your not allowed to put in a new socket.
