Channeling in cables for new Plasma - Help!

Hi all

Finally have my TV bracket on the wall after much research and help from AV forums on wall anchors that are strong enough to hold a Panasonic 50" G10 on a plasterboard wall - thanks all!

My next challenge is to channel in the HDMI/aerial/Power cables into the wall. As this is my first attempt I'm more than a little nervous at the thought of cutting sections out of a wall that was build less than 9 months ago!

Reading around the Forums here it seems I need to channel into the wall (around 1 metre from top to bottom), insert plastic conduit which is secured to the wall by screws/rawl plugs, then plaster over it.

As this is my first attempt I need some advise from you experience people.

- What do I use to cut the plasterboard?
- What type of conduit should I use?
- Any hints on covering over the conduit/replastering? What should I use?
- And any problems with having a power cable and the HDMI, etc cables in the same conduit?

Thanks!

You could always do this solution D-Line Plasma Tv Trunking PVC Dline at least if you have a problem or need to add/subtract cables you do not end up snookered.

Thanks - I had considered that, but really I want to hide the cables in the wall for an all round better look.
