rear speaker cable underfloor joists

I have just laid 4 VanDamme blue series 2.5mm speaker cable under the floor joist boards for the rear speakers to make up 7.1 - I just thought maybe I should have put them in conduit, but will it be ok not to? I don't see that I would ever change the speaker cable now, what do you reckon guys?

Should be fine, are they expensive cable? if so if you ever come to move can you pull them out easily? that's the only concern i would have, or if a mouse got under there and had a nibble
