Tricky room layout - advice please

Hi,
I'm in the middle of having an extension and have ended up with the living room shown at the attached floorplanner link:
extension 2007 | powered by Floorplanner.com

There isn't a seat directly opposite and the TV will need to be viewed at an angle from both ends of the room.

I'm planning on keeping all the dvd, virgin box, wii etc in the corner of the room and running ducting to the new TV.

This will be my first foray into flat screen and I'd appreciate advice on what I should run to the TV through the ducting.

Is there some sort of junction box / splitter that I can have in the corner of the room connected to all the peripherals and then just run a HD cable to the tv?

Also, any suggestion on size? Furthest viewing distance will be 3m at an angle of 45 degrees. I'm thinking of a 32" or 37" Panasonic.

I haven't put in surround sound but the entire room will be plastered so this is my opportunity. Suggestions on locations?

Sorry, loads of questions here but I'll be grateful for any advice.

Cheers,
Will

With regards to the viewing angle issue, I would recommend Plasma over LCD as you will get a better picture from wider viewing angles with a Plasma. Colour, and contrast degrade more with LCD's at wider angles.

Personnally, I would forget about the chair, move the front room-hallway door to opposite the fireplace (nearer to chair location the better), place tv where the door used to be. place two seater behind the new door position. Not a cheap way of doing it, but at least you should have crook neck.
