Recommend me a Fan for my av cabinet

as the header, looking to install a fan into my av cabinet, want something as quiet as possible but effective and powerful, will be connecting it to my sky+ box to blow air out of my cabinet so my amp doesnt melt down the whole lot!

Any recommendations guys?

Re: Recommend me a Fan for my av cabinet

I've got x2 of the Sony S-flex 120mm fans running constantly in my av cabinet...They are ultra quiet & have been running constantly now for 18months. Totally recommend them.

Purchased mine from Quiet PC-Quiet PC Hardware-Quiet PC Components-Quiet PC Zalman Products in the UK.

Hope that helps.

Re: Recommend me a Fan for my av cabinet

I simply cut off the original pc connectors from the fan leads and wired them up together into plastic connecting blocks.

This in-turn is wired to a 'multi-voltage adapter' where I can adjust the voltage output of the adapter manually and thus reduce the speed of the fans.

Something like this:

AC/DC Multi-Voltage 1200mA Regulated Power Supply : Regulated Power Supplies : Maplin
