Quick mounting question (bolts)

I am mounting a Toshiba 37" WLT66 into solid brick.

I was going to use screw fixings supplied with the mount, but the heads were terrible and were mashed up easily by my screwdriver!

So, thought I would go and buy some anchor bolts.

Holes are already drilled - 10mm diameter. Would 4 x anchor bolts be sufficient and do I need M6 or M8?

Maximum depth of bolt/screw is 70mm (unless I buy a bigger drillbit).

e.g.:

Fischer Bolt Type Shield Anchors M8 x 65mm Pack of 5 - Screwfix.com, Where the Trade Buys

Fischer Bolt Type Shield Anchors M6 x 60mm Pack of 5 - Screwfix.com, Where the Trade Buys

I have an M6 in front of me which fits in the hole nicely, but wondering if I need to get M8.

Cheers

Re: Quick mounting question (bolts)

Go for 100mm for when you upgrade to 50".

Re: Quick mounting question (bolts)

From some research I think I will go for the M6 anchor bolts which will fit perfectly my 10mm hole.

They are 60mm long - any idea if 4 will be sufficient or if I should make it 6/8?

- The important point is that the holes should be the diameter that is specifiied for the particular anchor used. What size hole do the instructions say for your anchors? They should be a reasonably snug fit in the hole, or the anchor will not grip when tightened. Provided the correct anchor grip is achieved, then 4 M6 anchors will be fine.

Re: Quick mounting question (bolts)

as long as you drill deeper than the anchor and clean the hole out then they will be fine.
