I have french doors at the end of my living room. There is the 2 doors, then windows either side. I wish to get some blackout blinds of some sort so that I can use my projector properly in the day. Has anyone fitted then to these doors before? I want something that can be up when they are not is use and also looks reasonable lol

i would be enclined to get 1 big roller blind, if all its going to be used for is blocking light at movie time then that would be the cheapest option....just remember to have it set out far enough that it misses the door handles on the way down...

if you have to screw into the door frame, stay at least 2.5 inches away from the glass as it sits quite a bit inside the frame...

as for types of blind, ikea has really cheap ones, but not 101 inches....

My Mrs made a simple blind for our cinema room. She just bought some blackout material and cut it to size, ran a curtain wire through the top with hooks and added a weighted rod to the bottom. We just have small eyes screwed into the door frame. When we use the cinema we just hang them up. They roll up around the weight rod for storage.

Might be a bit simple for what you want, but it works well, although it might be a pain if you are doing it every day (it is very easy though, and they just go under the sofa in the cinema). It suits us as it means there is no fixed blind visible on the doors, which she didn't really want. OK, there's a little leakage around the edge, but not significant for us, depends what you are looking for really. As I say, Mrs MarkP REALLY didn't want a blind fixed in place so this was an option for me as a cheap compromise.
