Went to homebase the other day and found this lightswitch...

its a dimmer switch, with no "switch" as its touch sensitive...pretty cool and looks good too

But the best bit is that it can be assigned to any existing remote control in your house.

i sit down in my home theatre, switch everything on and once the film starts, press a button on my blu-ray remote an hey presto, lights are off!

I can even use the remote to alter the dimmer level as well

So....the purpose of this thread is this:

Its a credit crunch, not a lot of money around for big overhauls etc, but most of us can lay our hands on £20 for a little tweak, upgrade to our home cinema/av room....post below any such items which you think other users would find useful and hopefully we'll get a nice little list of cheap and cheerful ways to improve our leisure time!

how does it link to the BR remote?

You got a special BR remote or will any remote do this?

Any IR remote can be 'taught' to control the Varilight dimmers from a spare button.

Instructions are included.

You have just made my day, gonna pick one up on Friday, were they in the sale? Or was that Homebase's price? I cannot see it on their site.
