The weight will pull the bracket through the plasterboard in time, I had a similar problem and considered proper fixing above how the wall looked behind my tv, I measured the overal sizr of my bracket then added 100mm all the way round then cut out the dot dabbed plasterboard back to the block wall, i then fixed 2 piecess of MDF to the same thickness as the original plasterboard, I then filled and painted the MDF in the same wall colour then i secured the bracket safe in the knowledge it wasn`t going anywhere, it took me about 2 hours to do, but i have piece of mind now that it`s not going anywhere....hope this helps
