Acrylic/perspex sheeting ?

Anyone have any ideas where I might get hold of some thick...10mm...acrylic/perspex sheeting - approx 500mmx1000mm in size ?

Have tried the local DIY places but they only stock upto about 4mm thick.

Cheers, Lee

You presumably mean solid 10mm thick sheets and not 10mm twin wall polycarbonate sheets that you can find in many many suppliers.

For a solid 10mm polycarbonate sheet go to :-

http://www.fascias.com/

and look at product code PCS2.050X1.250X10MM this is 2.05 Metres by 1.25 metres by 10mm thick but be warned it is priced at £278.17 per sheet!!

Thanks for the link

Yeah it would be solid stuff I'm after but I was not planning a second mortgage to get some

I think plan B will have to be brought forward...once it's been formulated of course

Have you tried Amari plastics? I think they have a couple of places London way.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for that mate, the nearest outlet to me is in Park Royal which is not too far away.

I've sent them an email enquiry so will see what they say.

Cheers, Lee

No probs Lee. We use them at work (model makers). They'll likely have to cut it up from a sheet. Always found them accurate, to nearest mm or so. Dunno whether they sell part sheets though. Another possibility may be signmakers?
Cheers steve
