Sounds great. Does the 5 year warranty and 90 day return policy also apply to dvd/brd players?

Re: Panasonic 46PZ80 and DMPBD35 Blu-ray Costco members only.

No delivery, collect from store only.

The bluray player does not the mention 5 year warranty. The 5 year TV warranty is standard on all TV's purchased from Costco.

However when I bought my Bosch washing machine from Costco, I asked the supervisors what the warranty was, I was told "the lifetime of the product" by two supervisors, and they said that went all their products. I dont know how that works in real terms and if it is still the same policy. But to be safe I would say it is standard manufactures warranty only.

You need vouchers for these prices, I got them throught the post today, but normally these voucher books are at the door as you enter the store. The discount is equal to £25 + VAT off the bluray player, and £200 + VAT off the TV.

Re: Panasonic 46PZ80 and DMPBD35 Blu-ray Costco members only.

Sorry to beg, but I don’t suppose anyone with a Costco card round the Birmingham, Chester or Manchester area fancies taking a shopping trip with me so that I can get one of these? I missed out on the JL deal because they made a mistake with my order and will not let me re-order it for £799 but they said that I can have it for £1270 instead.

Thanks for posting these offers

One question though, usually the voucher books have a specific time period for when each offer is applicable. If this is the case this time, do you know the dates for the 46" offer?

On my voucher, tha Panasonic offer is valid from 02/02/09-15/02/09.

I *may* be taking a trip to my nearest Costco (Reading) around those dates if anyone is interested in these.

HTH.

Do you think that they will have enough stock or will there only be a few in each store?

OK put it another way, could anyone who goes to Costco on a regular basis let me know what their stock levels for TV’s and similar items are like please? Do they just have one on display and have to order more or do they have a lot in stock? I am looking into joining (through the Wife’s work) but don’t want to if there is no chance of me getting this deal. I know that no one will know for sure but have people managed to take advantage or similar offers at Costco.

In the warehouse they do seem to hold a lot of TVs with plenty in stock on the shelves but you never know how many theyll have of a TV on offer as it could be a clearance sale of the last few or whatever.

Anyone any ideas what size car youd need to get this TV home?

I think you are going to need one of the mini MPV’s, (Zafira, Touran or similar) or at least a big hatchback or estate that you can drop the back seats in. I have a VW Touran and managed to get a 42 inch in the boot ok but that was without any packaging, also I only just managed to get a 37 inch with packaging in the back of a 306 but had to drop the back seats.

Remember is recommended to transport plasma TV's with the boxes in an upright position only, not with the boxes lying on their back or front nor upside down. AFAIK anyway.

My mum has a new Civic and I very much doubt it would fit to be honest, especially upright. I think you would need a fairly large van, jeep or mpv. Try the TV forums section, I am sure someone there will know the dimensions or have a box that they could measure.

Hoda Civic - I think its very unlikely - I have a (big) pz46 box at home - will try to remember to measure it and post dimensions!

I indeed will be trying to buy one of these TV's on the 2nd Feb. I think there is a chance them only having a few in each store but I called them and they said if you miss out then you can put your name down on a list and you can buy it when they get some more in stock.

I'm a Costco member (Bristol being my nearest store) and have no intention of taking these offers up for myself, so by all means let me know if you'd like to meet at the store. Oh - just to mention - Costco *do not* take credit cards; you need a debit card or cash. I'm not sure if they're taking cheques because I haven't written one for about six years, but the point remains. I'll gladly use my membership card and/or voucher on your behalf, but not my debit card

You think someone sitting in the back holding in place will do the same job?

Bristol is a bit far for me to travel, but it’s good to see fellow members being so kind. If you have no takers I wouldn’t mind the voucher. I know that if the Wife manages to get a card through work when I get to the store that I wont be able to find the voucher.

I bought a TH-46PZ85 in Costcos the week before x-mas it cost me £1150'ish - this deal is crazy!!!

I havn't got my voucher book yet - anyone know if the SC-HTR310 (panny stand with built in amp and speakers) is reduced as well - I paid £285 inc VAT for that - its a bargin too good to miss IMHO
