Hi guys

Was trying to do this today but got fobbed off by the monkey I spoke to at Richer Sounds. First of all he said the Panasonic Warranty wasn't including home stuff so wasn't applicable. I told him I might as well drive to Hispec in St Albans then as I got the 5 yr one from them and then I thought he was trying to sort something out. In the end he couldn't get through to them and said he couldn't authorise the price match grrrrr.

Any advice of a way around this?

Got the TH73PX8B from the Next sale recently for £349 delivered - Hasnt arrived yet but it says it will -

Not sure if there is any left but it may be worth keeping an eye out!

These are a bargain if you need a 37" as Panasonic have gone over to the dark side for their new range and the LCD 37" sucks on SD big time....

I'm sorry to hear that you experienced problems at our Weybridge store whilst trying to purchase a Panasonic plasma TV which you had seen cheaper elsewhere.

I have since contacted you via private message on this forum and believe that this problem has now been resolved to your satisfaction, with you having bought the TV from our store at the lower price.

Please let me assure you that I have now taken up this matter with the manager of our Weybridge store to ensure his team fully understand our price beat promise and to hopefully prevent any similar problems from occurring again in the future.

While this doesn't directly effect me I just wanted to thank John for taking the time over the Christmas period to help highlight which retailers actually care enough to offer good customer service

I am not normally a richersounds fan but they have recently supprised me with the helpfullness of the customer service department and can only say well done and I will happily recommend them in the future. It makes a change a company taking care with the customers it has - I suppose in times like this every little thing to hold on to customers is worth doing.

Not having much luck with my local RS, trying to ring to check stock, but phone is always busy, no matter when I try to ring, been trying morning, noon etc for a couple of days now.... me thinks the phone has been taken off the receiver

Whenever i've wanted to stock check my local RS I've always had more luck ringing the main RS customer service number; explain you can't get through to your local store and they will then check stock in all stores in your local region for you.

when i was looking for a hard to find Onkyo 605 they drilled down and told me exactly which stores around the country had any left.

I think this time of year is pretty damn busy and the richer sounds shops don't have a great deal of staff from what i see. Im really not suprised you cannot get through!

My local Richers was chaotic when i walked past the other day ( 3 times going back and from uni ) this was throughout the morning and later afternoon....

Just thought that this thread was worth another bounce-
RS are back down to £499, but stocks are maybe not too great. 5 year warranty at 10% though.
Comet are also £499 and in my area, Scotland, stocks are pretty good.
I don't know of any discount codes for comet though, so if anyone could pass them on to me it may swing it in favour their way.
Any better deals than this that you know of would be welcome,
