Sony Free Blu Ray Movie promotion starting again??

This is more of a heads-up to what I think is happening at the moment, but I can see this being live by the end of the week (apologies if I've posted this in the wrong section of the site).

I've just noticed that Play.com have changed the description for the Sony BDP-S360 to also show 3 free films

Play.com (UK) : Sony BDP-S360 Blu-ray Disc Player With 3 Free Films : Electronics - Free Delivery

I also had a flyer through from Apollo2000 yesterday, which had the player listed with 3 free movies too - they were Slumdog Millionaire, Angels and Demons and Terminator Salvation (although it said via redemption).

These are also three of the movies which Blockbuster have as part of their BDP-S360 promo which starts on 24th November

Electronics Games - Sony BDP360 Blu-ray Player + 4 Free Blu-ray Movies from Blockbuster.co.uk

I've got a sneaky feeling that those three movies are gonna come bundled in the box very shortly, in the same was that Mamma-Mia, Hancock and Wall-E did with the BDP-S350 last November.

Cheapest prices are currently Amazon and Dixons at £134.88

Sony BDPS360B Profile 2.0 Blu-ray Player with BD Live: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo

SONY BDPS360 Blu-ray Player - cheap High Definition DVD Player - Dixons.co.uk

Who's we mate? Can someone advise, I am looking to buy this very player for my parents for xmas but would like to get them as many blu-rays free as I can to start them off.

So not sure if I should hold on a week and see if this deal with 4 blu-rays starts everywhere or order now off amazon and pick 1 blu-ray? (that offer finishes 22nd November)

If anyone is in the know about this offer let me know cheers.

I saw an advert in the Daily Mail last night for the electrical stores located in selected Debenhams stores promoting the BDP-S360 with Slumdog Millionaire, Terminator Salvation and Angels and Demons for £149.99.

Find your nearest branch here and give them a call mate Debenhams: Department Store Online - Retailer for Clothing, Electrical, and Furniture Brands

I personally would wait for Amazon to do the offer as they are the cheapest!

The BDP-360 has been for sale, since the spring. I believe this promotion is to move stock ready for the next player from Sony

There's been no news recently in the trade as to a new low end Blu-Ray player from Sony. It's a stock shifting exercise to improve Blu-Ray sales over Xmas rather than a clearance exercise. They did a similar thing last year with the 350. And there's also the Panasonic promotion running at the moment to compete with.

Just picked up my sony bd360 from blockbuster in newport gwent they were just unpacking them as i entered. One thing to watch out for is that it only states three free dvds on the box but the boxes do contain all four films, i made them open it while i was there to check and also remind them about the £20 worth of vouchers for the rentals which buy the way are £1 X 20 to be used individualy per rental not £20 in one go.

Ditto
I think a Decent BD player and 4 BDs for £149.99 ( and 20 X £1 off rental vouchers isnt too bad a deal
I was surprised how small the Sony is. I bought it for work and Church use so It will be in my Car most the time..I need to get a Decent 22" Monitor/ TV to go with it anybody think the LG227WD for `£199 is any good?

Yes I bought this tv for the kids bedroom and I have to say I am very impressed with it. The pic quality is very good and the overall look and feel of the tv is excellent. The only thing I would say against it is the sound as it is a bit tinny but there are different sound settings which can improve things but not drastically. Also the earlier models had 2 HDMI and the newer model, which I have only has 1. But for £199 it's an absolute steal and it may even be found cheaper as I have seen it on amazon for £184.99! As it is I got mine at £194.99
