what's a 'gift copy' - the wording on the offer sounds a little odd (and I agree about the postage thing, also odd)

I'm sure I could accommodate a £3.65 postage cost for over £70 worth of Blu's .. it's not that dodgy

No proper cases with the discs folks. They just come in the A4 jiffy bag you have to send them.

You sure about that? The previous offer of "2 gift copy blu-ray movies" definately came with cases.

Re: 7 free blue ray movies with panasonic BR player

Did they. Hmmmm. I'm not so sure now then.

Just wondered how they were gonna get so many discs in the A4 stamped addressed envelope you have to send them. Plus the illustration was only of the discs, not the cases too.

But then again, it would be a pain getting discs with no proper cases.

The actual claim form shows the cases as indeed does the offer page.

Re: 7 free blue ray movies with panasonic BR player

Just rang Panasonic who confirmed they're all proper movies with the cases.

For a company that big, why are they asking for postage but then again the £3.65 for the postage seems a little low for 7 Blurays though.

Re: 7 free blue ray movies with panasonic BR player

They had another Blu-Ray offer that expired on the 30/09/2009. The current one commences from 15/10/2009. I was unfortunate enough not to be aware of this and purchased The SC-BT205 on 07/10/2009...a 2 week window with no offer!

I emailed them chancing my arm but it's tough luck i'm afraid!

I might hold off until the sales as Ice Age 3 isn't out on blu-ray until 23/11/09.

Re: 7 free blue ray movies with panasonic BR player

Just bought a BD60 from my newly-opened Panasonic Store in Norwich for £148, and will take up this offer.

Will let everyone know the outcome!!

Re: 7 free blue ray movies with panasonic BR player

Just reading the terms and conditions, it asks to supply a "copy of your till receipt". Does this mean a photocopy or the original receipt.

Most offers like this seem to ask for the original receipt and not a copy. I'm a bit dubious of send the original receipt it case it goes missing.

I'd try going back to the shop you bought it from, have a nice word with the staff, seeing if you can "return" the item that you're not entirely satisfied with, and buy another one ;-)

Doesn't harm to ask really and its only about a fortnight since you bought it, so you may be in a "satisfaction guarantee" window depending on where you bought it?

I had that dilemma, and I've sent the original receipt and have photocopied it for my own records. They do say that they'll send it back, and as long as I've got the transaction number on my photocopy, then I can always quote that in any problem.

Discs should be here within 28 days apparently, so we'll soon find out.

Mainland customers are required to send "copy" till receipt, only EIRE customers as required to send "original" till receipt..its all in the small print..

Me too. Bought my SC-BT200 on 8/10/09 . Seems very tight of Panasonic not to run the offers concurrently. All this does is create bad feeling for customers like you and me.

I might write to them as well just for the heck of it.
