Free Freeview tuner 'worth' £60 for your PC when you sign up with Microsoft

Not much info on what the tuner is but I'm guessing it's a USB stick type and not really worth £60 but you can't complain when it's free!

Media Centre is included as standard in Windows Vista Premium and above as well as the forthcoming Windows 7.

Re: Free Freeview tuner 'worth' £60 for your PC when you sign up with Microsoft

Nice find, however the sign up states:

"Fill out this form to apply for our TV Ambassador programme. If you’re selected, we’ll send you a FREEVIEW TV Tuner at no charge. Alternatively, you may join our mailing list to receive product information and relevant promotions from Microsoft and its Partners. Please check the items below to complete the form and then submit."

This is followed by a very intrusive set of questions, only falling short of a DNA sample!

Not sure I wish to share my personal details with Uncle Bill, especially as I suspect the mailing list would be the only likely outcome for me!
