replacing 2 gang dimmer

I have removed old 2 gang dimmer and connections are as follows
1st switch black into L1,red into~.
2nd switch black into~,red into L1
and obviosly the earth which is ok.
on new switch ~ is replaced by C
just noticed it says 2 way on back of switch(which i didnt ask for but is it still ok to use).
Do i connect the same way...
