| How to deliver 12V power over Cat 5 to Rako controls
I have installed Rako rack systems in my new build, and all control points are wired with Cat5 for future upgrade to a full HA system (not yet selected). I have been told that I can power the RAko control points with 12V, rather than use batteries, and am now trying to work out how to get 12V into the cables at the head-end.
Does anyone know of a device through which I can patch the cables, to drive 12V into the unused pairs in the Cat5? Normal PoE is 48V and there are plenty of switches which do this, but I haven't found a model which can deliver 12V instead of 48!
Any ideas?.......or do you think I should just opt for battery power?
