Rewiring Light Switch

Hi there guys,
I am just replacing all of my light switches in my house and have become a little stuck! All the previous ones were fine, as I just replaced the wires in the old ones with the same wires in the new ones, but the last switch is different (I may need to buy a different switch?).

The switch on there is a single throw item, but the light it controls can be switched on and off from three different places (the upstairs landing, the front door, and the downstairs hallway). When I take the switch off the wall, it has two live terminals and two neutral terminals all wired up, but the new switch I have to replace it is a single throw double pole unit and has 'L1', 'L2', and 'Com' terminals. I am assuming that these are compatable, but would just like some advice on how to wire the thing up (preferable with a wiring diagram). Cheers,

Re: Rewiring Light Switch

Sounds like the switch you are working on just now is the intermidiate one of the three switches which will require an intermidiate switch which has 2 x L1 and 2 x L2 terminals

Re: Rewiring Light Switch

Yup, that looks like it!
Gonna need to get a different switch by the looks of it then.
