well you can send the video over a video distribution system the controllers however will need to be in range of the consoles....

On the Wii, you will also need a Wii bar in every room, not an issue as plenty of posts detail how you can run it off a wall wart PSU and they only £10 or so. Controllers are the prob and I don't know any way of doing it. Both use blue tooth I believe, can you get a blue tooth repeater and if so would any delays be introduced meaning playing games is difficult?!?
Dupe....

How far away from the 'hub' will you be? I distribute my ps3 via hdmi to the room up and to the back of the house - about 10m in total in a straight line through two walls and a ceiling and it works perfectly. I keep a controller upstairs! did't know there was a solution for wii? you've given me something to explore.
As regard ranges, test them. get a friend to watch your tv in main room and try your controllor out in all rooms.

The range is further than I thought then, I'll see what the range on the Wii is when I get a mo.

There are way to distribute the controls also. We have done PS3s, Xboxs and Wiis in racks and available to tvs 40m+ away from racks. Any competent pro should be able to do this.

Dupe... | dj-dulux, I was not referring to you or any other pro in these forums for the matter. I really respect your posts and you provide very useful info for all of us.
The way this is done is using USB hubs, usb over ethernet extenders and usb wallplates (for the nice look in the rooms). In the rooms you can either use bluetooth controllers (using the usb to bluetooth receiver that comes with the controllers, connected in the usb input on the wallplate) or wired ones.Gefen is a good brand to source the usb extenders. It is not the easiest thing to do but it can be done. This is really useful for the Xbox especially, because the live account is tied to a specific Xbox. So even if you have the money to buy several Xboxs you would still have problems using the same live account on each one.

HAve done this for Mice and keyboards in presentation systems before quite cool, Wireless keuyboard and mouse on conference table PC running PJ is in a rack in server room 2 floors down had the IT people scratching heads for a while until the saw the Dongle in the floor box under the table.......
But can you get Dongles, for the PS3 and Xbox controller or the Wii for that fact?

Thanks for the info, I had a look this morning and started to conclude the same sort of method. Its not perfect and I can see it being OK for PS3 and Xbox, but Wii?
I have also found some bluetooth / wifi repeaters, have you played with anything like these?
Dupe...
