Lighting advice needed for new cabinet build/leds or cothode etc....

I have some cold cathode lights I was going to use for my new entertainment cabinet (usually for pc use)

I have now found where I can get the molex extension, but the distance between the two sections of the cabinet only enable me to use them in one side.
And just found out that they are the wrong colour too

I am now looking to buy either cold cathode or LED light strips (or whatever their called).
I would prefer cathode I think.

I would like to buy a set of 2 or two singles (whichever is cheaper) in red.

I'm not bothered about dimming,just need to be cheap ie around or under £20
,red, and have to be around 8-12 inches in length, and able to run off of the mains.

Please point me in the right direction, or point me straight to some

Is there anywhere else that sells 75cm cathode extensions other than Kustom Pc's?
I cant find any more anywhere

Whilst on the subject I just found these:

Would just two of these be ok for either side of the rear of my tv?
(a 32" samsung)
I presume they would be brighter than cathode's?
(though I do have a red wall)
