Basic IR Extender

I've had sky multiroom upstairs in the bedroom for a while now, but I've recently upgraded the old CRT TV (Which was sat on a table with the sky box) to a LCD which I've wall mounted. To keep things tidy, I had planned on sticking the sky box in the loft then dropping a SCART cable down to the TV, so I need a way of getting the signals from the sky remote up to the box. That's all it needs to do, I dont need to control multiple devices etc. and the box will only be a couple of meters away from the TV. What's a cheap way of doing this?
