Leaving things on during the day....

Dunno if I am putting this in the correct place so please forgive me if its in the wrong place.

Was just wondering after looking at some of the kit and electircs that go into these setups.

Do you prefer to leave your stuff on all day long or switch it off at the mains?

I only have small setup and to be honest I worry if I leave it on for more that 30 minutes unatended. Not because of the me having dodgy electrics just that I worry about all of the AC adaptors overheating. Not to mention my electricity bill.

How do you guys deal with it?

My receiver and therefore speakers are on (actually on, not standby) all the time - I find it sounds better that way...

we use intelliplugs to turn the kit off, when you switch one item off ( you decide) it cuts the power at source to rest. they are very good
