Newbie lighting question

Having an electrician install, but need to order.

I want to control our living room lighting. We currently have a standard 2 gang switch.

Would a 1 gang Lutron Rania IR (RISI-452H-F) work, as I hope to have both lights controlled via one control. This might be very newbie, but it is ok to run two lights off a 1 gang dimmer?

------------

Also does anyone know if the Logitech Harmony 1000 Universal remote supports this lighting system and are there any additional accessories required?

Found an answer to my second question: http://www.avforums.com/forums/home-automation-lighting-security-heating-cooling/660665-lutron-rania-ir-single-dimmer.html#post5956933

Re: Newbie lighting question

I control my 2 living room lights with a lutron Rania remote dimmer and use the harmony 1000 to control them, at present i can only seem to dim, switch etc both lights at once with the remote, but the switch itself allows independant control. I bought the switch from Screwfix in the UK.

Re: Newbie lighting question

What sort of lights are they, ie what is the power rating of each fitting?
