Urgent need needed. Need to buy cheap LED Lighting

Hi guys

Sorry to start a new thrread but looking through other threads it seems too compicated to undertsand

This weekend i am pimping out my room on a budget and want to get some Blue Lighting to go behind my 32'' LCD that's on the wall

I have no idea what kind of lighting? Is it LED that i need? or how it all works. No idea how many lights i need either

I would like one that can be turned on and of with a remote.

If i was really stretched, i can spend around £50 on the lot. f it does require more money but looks good and does the remote function then i can spend more.

I need to order soon and would like them delivered within a week

Re: Urgent need needed. Need to buy cheap LED Lighting

I picked up a remote control mains socket switch from Maplins a few weeks back.
It was about £5. Basically, I think the easiest way is if you get some LED rope light, plug it into the maplin's box, which then plugs in to a mains socket.

Not sure what the best rope light for you is tho, but the whole lot should be a lot less than £50.

Think I know where your coming from.

LED strips, 4 for £15 IIRC.

Just put some under the bairns bed and they look awesome.

Calls it his 'fast and furious' bed

Come in four 8" strips complete with sticky back foamy stuff and all relevant connections, switches and powers upplies

I'd go for rope light - see this stuff from TLC Electrical as an example.

It is supplied in cut lengths and is run directly from the mains without a transformer (remember to order the mains connection kit!). Fix the rope to the wall rather than the screen and it works very well. It's even dimmable if you need to adjust the light output.
