Help need with Goldair Air con unit

Got an old Goldair Air con unit, portable one Model GAC002, but it's not getting as cold as it used to , also i have been using it heavily and have not had to empty out the water yet- no water even collects! Anything i could do at home to sort it out, it's not worth getting an Engineer over,

not sure how you can tell, can you still here the compressor working? if so i would say the gas has leaked out, need proper equipment to do it, i no cars are about 60-£70 but not sure about a home one.
