Multiroom Audio DIY set-up

After looking at many multiroom audio systems I have settled on a number of Squeeze Boxes in various rooms being fed by my media server.

I am looking to try and build a set-up that is less obtrusive.

I would like to put some flush ceiling or wall mount speakers in the lounge, I would also like to hide the amplifier away so the smaller the better.

Any ideas for speakers and amplifiers?
Anybody built a hidden multiroom system from scratch?
Any ideas for other rooms such as Bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, etc where sound quality may be less important?

How about this for a hidden amplifier?

The size of a double wall socket.

Thanks, this looks ideal.

Now to work out where to put the Squeeze Box!

Why don't you mount the Squeezebozes on the walls, they may look cool ?

I think it will be the best option, although it will require a shelf or a recess of some description.
Which means if I use the Keene amplifier it will be flush with the wall (and I think that will look cool), when I find the correct speakers they will be flush with the ceiling or wall but I will need the Squeeze box out somewhere which is not too bad as they do look fairly good.
