Thanks: Gave 19, Got 60 | Rako for low voltage lights
Can someone enlighten me how the Rako system works with low voltage lights.
I am not retro fittin as the low voltage lights are going into a new ceiling.
I am planning on using low v. downlights with individual transformers for each light.
On the various websites they offer ceilin dimmer paks which control the dimming of the lights. These are also mounted in the ceiling, I believe in line.
My question is, do I need one dimmer pack per light or can I use one dimmer pack to control 1 zone ?
The largest zone will consist of approx. 12 downlights.
Help from anyone who has fitted Rako is gratefully welcome.

You can use one dimmer module per circuit or zone. Just make sure you choose one which is the correct wattage. ie. 10% greater than the total wattage of the zone.
Download the info from the Rako website, its very helpful and should tell you all you need to know.

A bit off topic, but could someone explain the advantages/disadvantages of using main vs LV downlighters?
