Multiroom inputs

Many of the multiroom control units i have come across only have 6 audio and video inputs. I was hoping to have the ability to watch 3 different sky channels in 3 different rooms and also listen to 3 different CDs/music in 3 different rooms. My understanding was that this would take up all 6 inputs as i'd need 3 sky boxes and 3 inputs from a music server or 3 different CD players. I had hoped to be able to have an input for a DVD player, radio and mediacentre but i have not come across any affordable systems with more than 6 inputs. However, I am hoping someone may be able to advise differently. I have also seen recent adverts for music servers that can stream different music at the same time. I am hoping this means they might only use one input on the control unit to do this but am hoping someone can clarify this for me.

Hi Futureproof,
I suggested on another thread to you to look at the new Crestron Adagio system, the Adagio Entertainment System has the capability of taking up to 10 sources.

Each zone (output from the music server) will need a seperate input.

Second the adagio stuff - I didnt realise it was 10 inputs but it is certainly very upgradable.

The likes of Modular Multi-source is only 6 'house' sources, but you do have a local input in each room. It would be possible with a switcher to make this local source look at any one of the sky boxes. You would then have the six 'house' sources available for your three audio server inputs, one for a radio, one for a DVD and the last for your PC or whatever.
