New house, new toys!!

Hi All, with the exception of one post 2 3 years ago, this is my first...

We are embarking on a new build and are going to install multi-room A/V. I very much like the client/server type approach which is starting to appear with MCE and Sony's Network Media system.

What I would like to do is install a system which doesn't neccessarily need 'receivers' in every room. I'd love a system with a control interface like Sonos which allows you to select from server based music and video data along with broadcast TV/DAB radio but with all the hardware (speakers and screens excluded) in a central hub.

My plan is to flood wire the house with Cat5e and speaker cabling for both in-wall/in ceiling and the option of sending the feed to freestanding speakers if desired.

I'm searching the net but thought I'd come here and see if other people are looking for something similar or have found a solution...?

Cheers,

Ben
