Netstreams Digilinx system / Opus 500 and I can't decide..

Typically I'm the king of procrastination... I've been considering the Netstreams Digilinx system and also the Opus 500, my requirements are to declutter and centralise the sources and feed HD to main room, A/V to another 2 and a music source to the Bathroom. Would also like to be as future proof as possible with the options of lighting and HVAC control in the future..

Digilinx looks like the better option after reading many similar threads however I'm not sure how it compares in price - appreciate if anyone could give me an idea? - please. I'm prepared to start with 1 main source/output but also to put all the necessary wiring in place for the future.

I should add I'm doing the first fix of wiring in a couple of weeks - excluding this I've around £4k to spend excluding the source/reciever kit.. is this reasonable?

£4k is not going to be enough for the Netstreams hardware, touchscreens and source kit for the areas you want to have working. It can do all you want but would need the budget increasing considerably.

feed HD to main room, A/V to another 2 and a music source If you feed HD not over NS then £4k is fine for now 2 x SL220/251 + PSU and 8 port switch is fine add a basic server and Iphone control or TL. It would be a tiny Digilinx system (infact more like a large demo kit)

To add HVAC and Lighting will cost more but thats a future wish
YOu can run Opus 500 and Diglilinx over very similar wiring, back boxes are different, Opus a bit smaller IIRC
