Rako and harmony one

hi, in my lounge i have 2 circuits with 5 spotlights each. I would like to control these using Rako and a harmony one remote.

Correct me if im wrong, but to achieve this i need:
  1. x2 RDL500C (one for each circuit)
  2. Ravir (IR to RF interface)
  3. harmony one remote
so Harmony One --> RAVIR --> RDL500C

Is this it or do i need a rako control panel like the RCP07?

so Harmony One --> RAVIR --> RCP07 --> RDL500L

thanks in advance for any help!

Re: Rako and harmony one

The control panel is just a wireless panel to also access the RDL500 directly. You will need both, the control panel to do the lights when you go in and out of the room. The RAVIR to do the lights with the remote whilst you are in the room.

thanks for clarifying. I've never owned a harmony remote, is it easy to program for the above requirements?

I did some research on Rako and i found references to compatibility with Pronto and other brands, but not harmony which im more keen on...

Re: Rako and harmony one

There will either be re-existing codes in the Logitech database or you can teach the Harmony new codes using the lighting manufacturers IR remote.

Re: Rako and harmony one

The IR control of Rako is is dependant on the install and programming of the rako units not a discrete set of commands.... The Rako software generates the HEX for control, HArmony cant accept HEX directly...

Re: Rako and harmony one

A trained Rako installer would have the master remote that you could learn the codes in from, and the Harmony database has some codes stored for it. Pronto support is much better though with more discretes for scene selection and multiroom if I remember (I don't really use Harmony remotes).
