Can Varilight dim a fluorescent tube

Hi can some1 plz tell me can one of these dimmers-

SATIN CHROME REMOTE DIMMER LIGHT SWITCH REMOTE CONTROL on eBay (end time 03-Nov-09 09:57:13 GMT)

will work with Fluorescent lighting if yes can some tell me were i can get Dimmable Fluorescent lights from and if i need any extra bits to make this work thank u for any help

No it will not work. You need a special dimmer and special ballast/control gear in the fitting driving the flourescent - 0-10v, DALI, DSI etc. Normal leading or trailing edge dimmers cannot be used for this. Unfortunately I do not know of any faceplate dimmers that can do this.

ive just seen this dimmer looks brilliant , which im going to get instead and just use on spot lights instead
