An IR controlled single plug, but you won't believe it!

I know that so many people hunt for a single IR controlled plug socket. Why oh why they don't make them with IR when so many people have universal remotes is beyond me!

Anyway, I couldn't find one and I've looked for quite a while. I don't want a whole multiplug strip which is available somewhere, just a single plug.

But I've found one...

Here's the link:

QED - Quality Enabling Devices Ltd

But you really won't believe the price.

I don't know if the fact that it is sold by a company making input devices to help people with disabilities makes the price more or less disturbing.

Re: An IR controlled single plug, but you won't believe it!

I guess they don't make it IR because IR requires line of sight and generally people want to hide power strips, not show them
