Air Con installers in the South East (Kent)

We are considering getting an air conditioning unit installed in our bedroom (and potentially in some other rooms in the house depending on the additional costs involved).

From our research to date, we understand the importance of decent equipment (LG, Daikin etc) and perhaps even more importantly the requirement for a decent installer.

Can anyone recommend a professional installer / company in the Kent area (Tunbridge Wells) that would come and view our property and discuss the different options?

On a related note, the LG Artcool systems look like they might pass the ‘wife-friendly’ test – are they any good?!

Thanks

Re: Air Con installers in the South East (Kent)

I got an LG in the cinema room for over 5 years and it's still going fine - may get it re-gassed soon as not "as" cold, but with the door open to the lounge, it's been cooling the whole of downstairs. I used a local company to me but then it cost me over £1200 inc the unit fitted.

Another option is the Airforce DIY stuff at b&q they are given massive discounts until today- I got a 12000btu split DIY unit for £175. !!!!!!
Even managed to get the wall bracket under £8.

I got one of these last year for our bedroom and had it up and running within an hour. This one cools most of upstairs too with the bedroom door open.

They are not speed compressors so will never run "quiet" and are B rated. They are inverters so will do hot and cold They only come with a 4m connecting pipe.

Re: Air Con installers in the South East (Kent)

I am rubbish at DIY and after hearing about the importance of getting it installed correctly I want an expert to do it for me.

I just need a recommendation of a local installer, but so far no-one can recommend anyone...............

Re: Air Con installers in the South East (Kent)

Found my local guy - let me know if you want a second opinion.

Load did put the LG's down when I got mine, however, it's still going.

Regards
