Ikea dioder lights- good in recessed tv?

Hi
Thinking of buying those posh lights to go round my new Panasonic TX-P42X10B tv. Only problem is, it is not wall mounted like what others have done. But it is in a recess so how should i fix them?
Also which is better? The strip ones or the disc versions?

Thanks

EDIT: Have added some pictures of my setup

I made an offer of £35 he then made a counter offer of £37 and i accepted with postage they cost £44.50 and he delivered them very quickly. There are a few different fixings that come with the lights.

Looks good, hope your TV is OK above the fire

I think the lights would be OK in a recess, may stick them on the back wall.

you can stick them to the back of your telly. they are very light and do not give off any heat

The fire is an electric fire and it throws the heat away from the tv no heat goes towards the tv at all.

Re: Ikea dioder lights- good in recessed tv?

Thanks. I found some disc ones cheaper than Ikea from a little shop called Clas Ohlson. The lights work well and don't get hot or consume much energy. I stuck them with Adhesive discs onto the TV( not on the vent!)

Will post some pics later.
For some reason they aren't blue but i prefer them white despite the box picture being a bit different

I have got them!
Mines on the stand too, stuck them on the TV and they nicely shine onto the wall. Mines only white but on your multicoloured one, dont do the red switch someone told me on here!
