Home Automation Voice Control

So I've been thinking and doing a little digging around on the google machine.

I want a lot of my flat to be voice controlled. Watching Iron Man and the "Jarvis" style alarm clock got me thinking.

So I googled and found a Jarvis Alarm clock for windows which needs some work and is still in an early phase. Then I got thinking even more.

I drive a BMW 5 Series with iDrive. It responds to virtually any pre defined voice command.

Is there something like this available for the home? Prime it by saying a name or pressing a button then giving a voice command?

Not for anything critical!
God knows how such a system could interpret a sneeze.

Re: Home Automation Voice Control

Cool,

Well, I've just googled and found "HAL 2000" which looks very very good but also looks like its about 9 years out of date!.

The other was "Stephanie"

Now, where's my soldering Iron?

Re: Home Automation Voice Control

AMX have a voice control interface IIRC which can be programmed to do pretty much anything with an AMX system
