Hi,

I'm in the final stages of planning a lighting installation for my bathroom. The lights will be controlled by a 7-button Rako wall switch. I have a number of scenes planned for the room, but there's a final thing I need to do.

I intend to fit a blue LED "nightlight" to give a little illumination at night - and hopefully encourage the teenagers to turn the lights off! I don't want to use a scene button for this, I'd like it to come on when the "off" button is selected on the wallplate.

So, that's the question - is it possible to programme the Rako units to turn a light on when "off" is pressed? (And I really don't want to start messing about with relays etc, I'd like to do it with a Rako module if I can)

Just a thought, but the LED I was going to use was the Micromark Twilight 66 kit - I have a transformer unit spare from when I put some in the garden. I've noticed that they now do a dusk-to-dawn sensor, so maybe I could just fit one of those....

What about using a dusk till dawn type sensor that is only switching the led's. It doesn't need to be part of the Rako system at all.

- HD, no timeclock, but your question has just made me realise that if I set the LED to turn on when everything else was off, then it would be on all day. Doh! So I guess that isn't really what I want to do. I won't be using RASOFT, I'll be setting all the scenes just using the wallplate.

- Hi John, I think your suggestion may in fact be the simplest. I see the manufacturer of my LEDs offer such a switch, so that may be the easiest way to go.

Any old dusk to dawn timer will do, I've got a couple of feature led's in a downstairs toilet and we use a cheappo dusk/dawn switch from Screwfix.
