Controlling 2 mains lights with Harmony One remote

Hi, I'm looking at controlling 2 lights with my Harmony One remote. One is in the main lounge (would be able to detect a IR signal) and one in the conservatory (would not). What products should I be looking at to switch these on?

Look at the varilight range of light switches at B&Q or TLC . These work well for me mate.

Re: Controlling 2 mains lights with Harmony One remote

I would second the recommendation for the varilight dimmers, I bought mine from 1stopelectric.com. I used an old VCR remote to program them and then taught the Harmony. I have them programmed on all my activities using the up/down arrow buttons for the two rooms.

As you want to control the lights in the conservatory, unless you either take the Harmony with you or use another remote, the only way to control them would be to use some form of IR repeater to send the signal to the other room. I use keene IR gear to control some equpipment inside a wardrobe in my secondary setup.

There are other remote products around but I don't think they are compatible with the Harmony e.g. X10 but could be made to work.
