Light troughing...?

Hey all,

Just put my order into TLC.

Just would like a pointer as to if ive bought everything i need

DT611Y Yellow Duralite Rope Light £1.95 per metre 23 £44.85
DT613/CK Mains Connection Kit with End Cap for Rope Lights £2.95 ea.12.95
SK155075 Duralight Mounting clip £0.11 per 1 20 £2.20

23meters of duralite
Mains connection kit
20 Mounting Clips

That all the stuff needed for the lighting?

In the long run im looking to purchase a Harmony 1000, How would i make the light troughing compatible with the remote ie. for on/off and dimming?

Use a infra red compatable light dimmer instead of the light switch is probably easiest way, something from Lutron, Mode etc. Lutron is now available from Screwfix for your info.

I'd forget the clips and stick with the clear mounting strip instead - I found that the clips were akward to fit and most broke the first time I had to remove the rope. Refitted with the strip and it is perfect, easy to remove/refit the rope when necessary

Seconded! I used the clips on my trough and floating wall, then used the strip for my photo wall... then wished Id used strip on the first two!
