CCTV Questions

Im working with a hotel and they want to add some wireless cams to their CCTV system, that's a multiplexor DVR and uses composite connections. The whole hotel has wireless and CAT5 everywhere.

Can anyone help me please.

Re: CCTV Questions

Well, you've won the competition for the 'lack of information in a post'.

If you want some help, you need to tell us what you want help with. Have you purchased the cameras? What are they going to be used for? What make/model are they? Wireless Security protocol to be used? etc, etc, etc.

Re: CCTV Questions

Unfortunately you are sort of mixing your technologies to much.

Assuming you are talking about Wireless Internet then this will be difficult to get to work. Composite and Wireless (internet) are two totally different standard.

SO your hotel will have to go one way of the other. Coax cable and power to use traditional ananloge CCTV cameras or and central PC with a range of IP Camers just hanign arround of the network.

Re: CCTV Questions

well if they already have several analogue cameras, you could buy a hybrid DVR such as http://www.rfconcepts.co.uk/digital-...htm#HYBRID_DVR

That will support analogue cameras and IP cameras. No idea how well it performs, but depending on number of analogue cameras etc it might be a possibility.
