Fiber Optic Star Ceiling

Ive got a build/project going on at the moment ( click the link in my sig )....i want to have a fibre optic star ceiling but dont have a clue about the cost or method involved . Can someone help me out and advise to the procedure and costs , also if its hard to do as ive got to meet with the sparky on Monday and brainstorm my lighting and cabling

YOu need a fibre light source a bundle of fibre and lots of patience

I fitted one in my kids bedroom, not hard to do but time concuming to thread the fibre optics into the holed that I drilled through the ceiling (I fiited the fibre only, not the lampholder so a 1mm hole for a .75mm fibre).

The hardest thing was drilling up (so as not to splinter the freshly painted ceiling) and then trying to locate the holes to thread the 180 fibres into the hole.

It took a day.... Would I do it again.....No

Looks lovely though.
