Arrow POWER-ON PC via GSM (need opto relay?)

Cutting a long story short.....

I have this GSM Dialer:
http://www.jablotron.cz/en/automatio...products/gd-06

In has a NO-C-NC relay AND also some output terminals P5/P6.
The output terminals have max 100mA.

I would like to power on a PC remotely using either the relay or the P5/P6 outputs (via SMS), but would like to do it in a safe way that protects the GSM.
(I have been told that an opto relay would be best)

Any advice or products (and connection hints).
And now an admission.....
I can solder, I know the difference between AC/DC, and i used to know the resistor color chart - but that was a long time ago.

What i don't know is what components to look for to achieve the stated goal (relays of correct input/output config etc).

I am in UK (lincs) and we have a maplin nearby?

Anyone care to pitch in

you can hook it up to a 12v coil relay, to switch 240v on/off. these are the guys: http://uk.rs-online.com/web/search/s...duct&R=5111082

works on 12vdc

a 12VDC triggered relay will apply power to the PC but will that boot the PC? you could rewire the power switch on the front of the PC to the small relay on the GSM unit

Some PCs have a setting in the bios that you can set to auto boot the PC on power-on. That way you can just switch the power to the PSU and the PC will start.
