Lutron file

For those Lutron experts out there, I have a question about extracting my existing set up from the system. I logged in with the default password using the terminal and tried to extract the project file hitting the extract icon but got the following error

Module modSceneSaver
Routine CheckProcessors
Error Number 3021
Description No current record

Can someone explain what this error is and what I might be doing wrong? After this error, all my light switches stopped working and started flashing. I had to reboot to get the system back up and running. I was hoping to extract the file so I can see how my current system is set up. Thanks.

Re: Lutron file

Not for a while, maybe a few months. I just thought the project database is always stored on the system and could be extracted but I got the error when trying to do that. Is there something wrong with my software or do I need to do anything other than logging in with the default password? Thanks for any help.

Re: Lutron file

Might be that your version of Homeworks is out of date, and the processor is running on a more recent version. ideally you need the latest copy of homeworks to be sure.

Re: Lutron file

I am using RS-232. You could be right about the software. I have a version from 2007 but the project was originally created in 2005 and I had some changes this year. Anyone know what's the latest version that works with the HWI-PM-D48 model or have a version that works with it? Thanks.

Re: Lutron file

Can anyone provide clarity on the compatability of different versions of the Lutron s/w with my Homeworks Interactive system?

Re: Lutron file

I could say try asking Lutron for a copy of the latest homeworks, but i think they will only give it out to registered dealers im afraid. You're best bet is to get the engineer that last serviced the system to clarify what version he is using, and see if he can help further.

Re: Lutron file

The software you need is only available for registered and trained Lutron dealers, many of whom have paid alot for the privilege, and you'd be hard pushed to convince any of them to hand it over gratis.

Re: Lutron file

That's fine. I am sure it'll show up somewhere. I find the whole issue of integrators holding customers hostage rather distasteful and made even more disgusting by the companies that encourage it so integrators can hark their warez. At least make it easy for customers to switch integrators but allowing them to keep your files after you spend tens of thousands on overpriced equipment and programming leaves a bad taste. I guess that's where Philips Pronto comes in.

Re: Lutron file

Giving the clients a soft copy of the latest program is no problem, you have every right to go elsewhere if you're not happy with the service you're receiving. Good luck to you, but pleased don't be too bitter, we're all trying to earn a crust just to stay afloat in this day and age.
