Post X10 - Starter setup + LW12 module (vs Lutron Rania)

Hi there,

Does anyone have the LW12 module? I was wondering whether this could dim to preset levels (scenes etc.) ?

Also, could you put two of these behind a 2 gang switch in order to dim 2 sets of lights?

On a different note, could someone please help me with a quick list of basic devices I would need in order to control these 2 sets of lights from a harmony IR remote?

I'm guessing:

- Some form of software (is there any mac software out there?)
- A controller module (which is best?)
- 2 dimmer modules
- An IR->RF converter

This would probably come to about the same as a Lutron Rania dual IR dimmer and would offer greater flexibility + expandability, am I correct?

Thanks!

You need an X10 controller. i suggest CM15 pro.
LW12 or LM12 to dim lights.
Active home pro as your software
