Problems with Varilight dimmers in a 2way circuit

Hi,

I'm replacing the light switches in my living room with varilight touch dimmers but have a problem. It's a 2 way circuit with 4 down lights. In the instructions they tell me to use the master and slave system for the two switches which I have, but the switches just confuse each other. I turn the lights on from one side, then I can't turn them off from the other side, i.e. one switch will keep on no matter what I do with the other side.

Has anyone been successful in putting two varilight dimmers into a 2 way system? If so any suggestions would help

Cheers

p.s. I've tried wiring them up in the normal 2 way circuit set up and that doesn't work either..

This is how I've set up the master slave system

Black and red feed and load. Then red, yellow and blue switch link cable.

Switch terminal names.....Master.....................Slave
Live..............................Red and red..............Red
Slave............................Yellow........... ...........Yellow
Arrow...........................Blue and black...........Blue

Not much help, but i've also had problems setting up a slave and master dimmer. The slave either doesn't function or once added stops the circuit completely (this is with me and an electrician trying to do it).

Re: Problems with Varilight dimmers in a 2way circuit

Not really much help I know but I have a slave and master 2 way system working fine.

It's hard to give advice as the wiring of a two-way system on a loop can vary. I've always found drawing out a diagram of how the connections are working previously (usually by spending hours confusing myself until I've got it right!).

This then lets me wire it up correctly...
