Hi people,

I'm looking to install some lighting to the front of the house and am wanting to purchase a coach lantern or similar with a built in PIR sensor. It won't need to cover a large area, 16sq metres at most. I'm looking for a lantern that:

• Will switch on when PIR is triggered for a time period that is adjustable
• Has a "dusk till dawn" mode
• Has manual override
• Has a bayonet cap fitting rather than Edison screw.

Can anyone recommended anywhere online (or a store) where I can find something suitable at a decent price. Budget is about upto about £35 really but may stretch!

Any reason why not an edison screw fitting?

If your near a John Lewis store ask if they have the 'capricorn' outoor light. Its a black coach lantern with a built in PIR which is well hidden, adjustable timer/overide ect hidden on the back (you twist it round and open a panel to access). Its a deleted line so may be reduced but im not at work for a week so cant check. its not on the website an i cant remember the price but im sure its within budget.

it is an edison screw fitting though.

Hi there,

I wanted a bayonet cap fitting because it is far easier to get bulbs with BC fitting from say your local shop than ES, which would warrant a trip to B&Q/ Homebase or similar. Thta's not a problem anymore as I see it is possible to get ES to BC convertors.

I don't have a John Lewis that nearby unfortunately, nearest is about 50 miles away, but it sounds interesting if still available.
