Wink 12vdc trigger to switch 240v socket

Hi

I am multi-zoning my house and need a way to remotely switch on my amp upstairs Denon 3802, when triggered by the 12vdc trigger zone output of a Denon 3808 downstairs. Obviously I'll be running a hard wired connection between the two.

I've found stuff in the US made by Niles but it's expensive and also seems to be 110v.

Any ideas or will I have to try and make something.

thanks

R

Re: 12vdc trigger to switch 240v socket

just a quick thought

why not put a 12vdc coil relay between the 12v output switching the 240vac supply and 240vac amp.
